NEURALGIA TRIGEMINAL (TN)
ICD : G50.0
KRITERIA DIAGNOSISSerangan nyeri paroksismal, spontan, tiba-tiba, nyeri tajam, superfisial, seperti ditusuk, tersetrum,
terbakar pada wajah atau frontal (umumnya unilateral) beberapa detik sampai < 2 menit, berulang,
terbatas pada > 1 cabang N. trigeminus (N.V).
Nyeri umumnya remisi dalam jangka waktu bervariasi. Intensitas nyeri berat. Presipitasi dapat dari
trigger area (plika nasolabialis dan/ pipi) atau pada aktivitas harian seperti bicara, membasuh
muka, cukur jenggot, gosok gigi (triggerd factors). Bentuk serangan masing-masing pasien sama.
Diantara serangan umumnya asimtomatis. Umumnya tidak ada defisit neurologik.
Klasifikasi TN :
1. TN idiopatik
2. TN simtomatik (lesi primer menekan N.V : tumor, sklerosis multipel)

DIAGNOSIS BANDING
Nyeri wajah atipikal.
TERAPI
Terapi Farmakologik :
Antikonvulsan : karbamasepin, okskarbamasepin, fenitoin, gabapentin, asam valproat,
baklofen.
Terapi Non-farmakologik : TENS
Bedah : bila terapi farmaka adekwat gagal
Terapi Kausal : pada TN simtomatik
Catatan : terapi simtomatik sama pada neuralgia yang lain
